The Greek illustrator caught up with our team of illustration agents this month, to share a bit more about the artist behind the artwork! 

Q: Welcome, Zafouko! We are so happy to have you join Illo Agency. How did you become an illustrator? 

A: It has always been my dream ... from a very young age!

Q: Ahh! What is your favourite thing to illustrate?

A: Hmmm ... probably trees!

Q: We've spotted a lot of trees in your work! How would you describe your style? 

A: I usually ask others to describe my work and tell me what emotions it makes them feel. Most of them say a little dark and melancholic as I sometimes lean more towards a muted colour palette. 

Q: Cool! Why did you want to sign with Illo Agency, in particular?

A: Because I love that they promote distinct artwork and diverse artists. 

Q: We're lucky to have you. What were some of your favorite books when you were younger?

A: I remember that I used to read mystery books as a kid - such as the Famous Five series by Enid Blyton!
