Sofia Ossman Receives The Honorable Mention from 3x3

3x3 Mag recently announced the winners of their 22nd Professional Show, and our talented Sofia Ossman received an Honorable Mention for her work “The Last Day of Summer”.

We asked Sofia to tell us a bit more about her process and inspiration behind her illustrations as well as what it means to her to receive this commendation:

“The Last Day of Summer is a personal illustration series that celebrates the joy and nostalgia of childhood friendships during those last golden moments before summer ends. It follows two kids explore nature, play in the water, and enjoy the last warm days of the season.

I created this series to explore my style and narrative storytelling and experiment with limited color palettes, patterns, and bold shapes. It was also a chance to challenge myself with more complex compositions while keeping the mood playful and warm.

The project was later featured by Adobe Creative Cloud and included in both the Photoshop and Illustration galleries on Behance. All the illustrations were created digitally, using mostly the lasso tool to give it a collage feel.

Receiving the Honorable Mention from 3x3 was especially meaningful to me, since this was a personal exploration - so it’s a real honour to be included among other talented artists!”
