Behance, one of the leading online portfolio platforms, has awarded Douglas Lopes with a badge for his striking illustrations of Brazilian landscapes.
Douglas took inspiration from his upbringing in Brazil to illustrate this series of stunning illustrations depicting the variety of biomes Brazil has to offer. He grew up in Cerrado, where fire season was a usual occurrence for him. Sadly, in recent years, the fires have spread to other areas such as Amazonia and Mata Atlântica. This series is an effort on Douglas’ behalf to pay respect and bring awareness to these areas.
Douglas deliberately used a bold style and colors to represent the liveliness the fauna of Brazil has to offer.
