Gabi Emmerich's personal journey through Endometriosis
Last March, for Endometriosis Awareness Month, Gabi Emmerich shared a heartfelt illustration series born from her personal journey with endometriosis. After undergoing surgery and facing dismissive comments about her pain, she turned to illustration to express the often indescribable experiences associated with this condition. Her artwork serves as an invitation to listen, empathise, and shed light on the realities of endometriosis.
This series not only raises awareness but also contributes to the broader conversation about women's health and the importance of validating chronic pain experiences.
"I used illustration to express what’s often hard to put into words. It’s an invitation to listen, to care, and to give visibility. If this is part of your story too, you’re not alone. And thank you to everyone who connects with this in any way."
