Sofia Ossman’s “ABC of Activities” Is Making Waves

Sofia Ossman’s debut as an author-illustrator is already turning heads in the industry. She’s been shortlisted for the Hiii Illustration International Awards and even featured on Adobe Creative Cloud’s official Instagram.

Sofia tells us a bit more about her inspiration behind “ABC of Activities”:

This was my first author-illustrator picture book - a personal project that grew into something bigger and will hopefully be published soon! The inspiration came from my childhood cat who followed me everywhere and was always by my side. It started as an alphabet board book idea, then evolved into a full picture book.

I’m very honoured to be shortlisted alongside so many talented professionals! 

The “ABC of Activities” is a playful book that introduces young readers (ages 2–5) to everyday activities from A to Z. Join Tommy and his cat, Purr, as they explore the joy of building blocks, riding a bike, playing music, and winding down for bedtime. With engaging illustrations and charming characters, the book encourages curiosity, creativity, and hands-on fun. Perfect for little learners, it makes early reading interactive and helps children discover the simple joys of daily life.
