Sian Bowman Illustrates Disney Stitch's latest adventure

Fans of Disney’s Stitch, both young and old, are in for a treat. Sian Bowman has brought her talents to a brand-new picture book with Studio Press, Disney Stitch: Five Little Aliens, and her artwork captures all the charm and mischief we love about this beloved character.

In this lift-the-flap adventure, Stitch and his alien cousins are ready to whisk little ones across the galaxy. With planets to explore, spaceships to fly, and familiar faces to discover, every page is filled with surprises. It’s the perfect choice for storytime fun for little explorers.

Sian shared with us what this project means to her and what it was like to work on this exciting opportunity:

“Working with Studio Press and Disney on Stitch has been a dream project and I am so grateful. I remember when the film first came out as a teenager; copying the Hula dancing with my best friend. Stitch is also my daughter’s favourite character and so when Amy at Illo Agency shared the opportunity with me it was a ‘pinch me’ moment.

The whole project was a joy to work on, the brief and vision for the project was very clear and right from the beginning I was given the freedom to play and add my own elements to the existing world. I had so much fun developing the little alien characters and thinking about their individual space crafts and how they might move.

It was so inspiring to learn from the movie and try to emulate some of the beautiful mark making and the expressions on the characters that are so beloved. I am so excited to share this book with my children!”
