Our Dance by Circle Yuen Featured in Illustration Masterclass at Bologna

At this year’s Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Our Dance by Circle Yuen was selected as a case study in the masterclass “Knowing How to Draw Isn’t Enough,” held at The Illustrator’s Survival Corner.

The session offered a thoughtful exploration of the often-unspoken soft skills that underpin children’s publishing, from building empathy and trust to navigating complex or sensitive subjects with nuance and care. It highlighted how illustration goes far beyond technical ability, playing a vital role in shaping how stories are felt and understood by young audiences.
