Koustubha Jagadeesh x HarperCollins: Madhu and Marcel

We’re pleased to share a first look at Madhu and Marcel, a new illustrated children’s book brought to life by Koustubha Jagadeesh. Written by Chitra Soundar and published by HarperCollins, the book is set for release this February.

Koustubha shared her thoughts on illustrating the book:

“I loved the fun, witty comedy that this book brings. The characters are relatable. Madhu and Marcel host their own radio show in an old telephone booth covering local news and sharing fun stories. But when a beloved local cat goes missing they turn into detectives in order to find the missing cat. We are introduced to loveable characters along the way. I enjoyed illustrating such a wide variety of characters and settings.”

With its humour, heart, and rich visual world, Madhu and Marcel is a joyful addition to Koustubha’s children’s illustration work.
