Nature serves as Wanjira's greatest muse, and she is a passionate advocate for environmental conservation. Whether birdwatching in her garden or strolling through the Nairobi National Museum, her work celebrates the vibrancy of life. She often incorporates intricate depictions of birds, insects, and the lush greenery surrounding her, alongside culturally significant motifs. One of her most cherished projects was a portrait for the charity AMREF UK, where she combined her love for portraits with intricate representations of traditional Kenyan beadwork, allowing her to celebrate her heritage through her art. Wanjira's style blends playfulness, serenity, and cultural depth. Her ability to adapt to diverse subjects and maintain professionalism and reliability has made her a favourite among clients, including The New Yorker, Google Doodle, Segal Family Foundation, etc. Wanjira is fueled by a love for pop culture, cinema, indie rock, and soul music, which often serve as the soundtrack to her creative process. A lover of colourful sneakers and ethical fashion, Wanjira dreams of illustrating for sneaker brands, particularly those committed to sustainability, whether through murals or ad campaigns.
