Vivian Rosas

I'm free to collaborate!

Vivian Rosas is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary illustrator, dancer, and muralist. As a queer Mestizx/Latinx artist, her work centers themes of empowerment, joy, and radical inclusivity, while celebrating underrepresented communities through bold, stylized imagery. Movement, play, and dance thread through much of her work, expressing a hopeful vision of a more just and vibrant future.

A graduate of OCAD University's Illustration program, Vivian primarily works digitally, unless she's working on large-scale mural projects for public engagement. She's inspired by nature, music, and the queer community.

Vivian's creative practice merges visual storytelling with advocacy and community empowerment. Her process begins with ideation and hand-drawn sketches on her iPad, exploring composition and character movement. Once a concept is approved, she creates clean vector illustrations and refines them in Adobe Illustrator using her Wacom Cintiq Pro, finessing every detail until the final artwork is complete.

Vivian's work has been honoured by such industry awards as the 2025 Applied Arts Award for Advertising Illustration Series and the 2022 Gold Anthem Award for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Her children's book illustrations have also resonated with audiences, with nominations for the 2025 Yellow Cedar Award and the 2023 Norma Fleck Award for Canadian Children's Non-Fiction.
