Tatsuya Kondon was born in Shizuoka, Japan. His family owned a Japanese confectionery, and traditional Japanese culture was a part of his everyday life. Tatsuya loved drawing since he was a child, and studied oil painting from the age of 13. He believes that being exposed to the colors and shapes of traditional Japanese sweets gave him an important sense, which helped with his art. After graduating from an art college, Tatsuya has been working as a freelance illustrator. He has worked on many different projects, including CD jackets, editorial illustrations, package illustrations, advertisements, and key visuals for commercial facilities. Tatsuya works mainly in digital formats, sometimes using watercolor and pen to create more profound expressions.
