Tricycle: The Buddhist Review work kick off a series with Danica De La Silva Pereira
The associate web editor for Tricycle: The Buddhist Review, contacted us to see if Danica De La Silva Pereira was available to create illustrations for a web series they are publishing titled "The Parables of the Lotus Sutra: An Introspective Contemplative Approach."
Each parable will be published as an online article. Nichiren priest Mark Herrick will present 9 parables from the Lotus Sutra in a modern context, here’s the first of nine, which was published on Mon, Sep 25 2023. We'll share more soon!
Danica Da Silva Pereira is an illustrator born and bred in the tropical state of Goa, India and currently based in the historical town of Cambridge, UK. After completing her Bachelors in Fine Arts, she worked as a graphic designer and illustrator.
Danica has recently graduated with an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art, UK. Her work is influenced by documentaries and she is passionate about representing diversity and advocating for environmental causes. She uses mixed media including colour pencil, water colour, acrylics, digital painting and enjoys screen printing.
