When did you start illustrating?
I started illustrating seriously in 2016, during my first class at Ars in Fabula school in Macerata But I've always drawn and illustrated stories, since I was a child.
Who has been the most supportive in your illustration career, perhaps your teacher, family, friends?
My mother and my boyfriend have been the most supportive. Overall my family, since my mother and my father were set designers, and they have always drawn for work.
Did you always think art was something that was going to be a major part of your life?
Yes. Art has always been in my life in different forms: illustration, figurative art, music, movies, literature, design, ecc. I love art and it gives meaning to my life.
What is your favourite subject matter to illustrate?
Children and animals. Most of all, kids that interact with animals. I love illustrate plants too.
How would you describe your style?
My style is joyous, colourful and I want to convey all the beauty of childhood.
What is your favourite collaboration to date?
For now, my favourite collaboration has been with Feltrinelli Kids. We worked together for publishing my two illustrated books and it was great to join forces to create them. I like to work with other people because they help me to improve my work and I like to listen to comments to enhance it.
What interested you about being represented by Illo Agency?
I'm so happy to be represented by Illo Agency because I'm sure it will help me grow as an illustrator. I love this work so much and I'm quite ambitious so I would like to reach an appropriate level for the international market. I'm excited by the agency's multicultural setting and its desire to highlight the differences of each illustrator. I like that it combines elements and styles that are so different. Sometimes I feel the same: I can convey all my multiple passions and interests in one, illustration.
Do you have a favourite author, film director, or designer?
My favourite authors are Amelie Nothomb, Jonathan Coe, JK Rowling, Roald Dahl and many others.
My favourite directors are Stanley Kubrick, Jean-Luc Godard, Wes Anderson, Charlie Chaplin, François Truffaut and many others.
Are you working on any personal projects you can share with us?
Yes, for now I've only personal project: I want to continue my "Home is everywhere" project, that I wish it would become a calendar. And I'm working to other project involving kids and pets.
Do you listen to podcasts? If so, do you have a favourite?
Yes I listen a lot of different podcasts. My favourite about illustration is 3 point perspective
