'DIG!' with sophia watts, illustrator of archaeological book by Wide Eyed Editions

We are absolutely delighted to share Sophia Watts' wonderful illustrations for DIG! Uncover the Secrets of the Past with Archaeology, written by author and real-life archaeologist Ruth Hatfield for Wide Eyed Editions, an imprint of Quarto!

The book takes you on a scientific journey through history, joining archaeologists on excavations to discover the world as it was hundreds, thousands, millions of years ago! 

With the expert Ruth to guide you through the wonders of the amazing science of archaeology, and our lovely illustrator Sophia bringing the past to life with her buzzing, detail-rich artwork, this book is perfect for the budding historian, aged 6 to 8 years old, and can serve as an invitation to get outdoors and dig up some history!

Sophia has always been passionate about animal welfare and nature, and she enjoys creating scenes that capture the true essence of the places she visits.
