Hello, I'm Koustubha Jagadeesh, an artist hailing from Bangalore and now based in Dubai. My art style is a blend of warmth, vibrancy, and expressiveness, starting with sketches in my trusty sketchbook before transitioning to digital mediums. With a penchant for thorough research, I infuse each illustration with a unique charm, covering a wide array of topics to bring diversity to my portfolio. Growing up in a culturally rich South Indian family and a city teeming with diversity has fueled my passion for exploring different cultures worldwide, reflecting in my art.

One of my most thrilling projects was collaborating with Oxford University Press on a picture book delving into the Indus Valley Civilization, bridging history and creativity to captivate young minds. Known for my knack in condensing grand narratives into compact yet engaging visuals, I strive to encourage dialogue through my illustrations, incorporating cultural nuances and perspectives that intrigue both kids and adults alike. Formerly a Computer Science Engineer, I seamlessly transitioned into a Children's Book Illustrator, drawing from my varied experiences in software development, health insurance, and banking sectors.

Immersed in Indian mythological tales since childhood, my fascination with translating narratives into visual art took root early on. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, whether observing kids and dogs in my neighborhood or perusing diverse artworks and children's books, I strive to create characters and stories that leave a lasting impact. Approachable and driven by a desire to be remembered through my work, my Sundays are a mix of mundane activities like grocery shopping, interspersed with moments of reading and relaxation, all fueling my creative endeavors.
