Justine Allenette Ross came in the world kicking and screaming on May 28th 1992 in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up she was raised by CartoonNetwork, Nickelodeon, and Renaissance Disney. It’s obvious in her work that she watched way too many cartoons when she was a little kid. She graduated from Wayne State University in 2017 with a Fine Arts degree. Her work is observational, figurative, playful, cartoony, chaotic, and human, with a touch of umami. Justine’s work is digital with analog elements. If she was not an illustrator she would be a linguist or maybe a cinematographer. Though she is currently chilling in the suburbs she is a city girl at heart. When she is not illustrating she is listening to music, watching movies, and gardening, and singing poorly in the shower.
