Hello, I'm Charlotte Marshall, a Canadian illustrator and comic artist hailing from Calgary, Alberta. As a queer, agender artist, I infuse my creations with a celebration of sexual and gender diversity, weaving LGBTQ+ narratives into my work to foster inclusivity and acceptance across all ages. Embracing a magical and moody style, I specialize in digital art using Procreate, drawing inspiration from a deep fernweh - a longing for distant lands. With a penchant for fun mashups, I create fantastical worlds blending sci-fi with steampunk, history with fantasy, and reality with the surreal, always rooted in the beauty and mystique of the natural world.

In my artistic journey, I've been recognized for my character work and concept art, garnering accolades such as a literary grant from Calgary Arts Development for my fantasy webcomic, "Tailwind." This webcomic, a decade in the making, unveils a captivating YA narrative of owl creatures entangled in mortal affairs and political upheaval, a testament to my growth as a storyteller. Leveraging my Bachelors of Design in Illustration from the Alberta College of Art and Design, I excel at translating written concepts into captivating visuals, earning praise for my attention to detail and collaborative spirit.

Beyond the realm of art, I find solace in nature, drawing inspiration from the diverse landscapes of western Canada to fuel my creativity. Music and literature are my muses, shaping the mood and essence of my storytelling. On Sundays, I unwind with Lego building and quality time with friends, cherishing the simple joys of life.
