When did you start illustrating?
Since I was a child, I was always immersed in the art world. Attending mixed arts classes during my childhood and drawing everything until today. I always had a special interest in visual communication and artistic expressions.
Who has been the most supportive in your illustration career?
I always tried to take my teachers as references, with whom I share a look about the world. That is why I attended workshops with renowned illustrators and painters who gave me tools to develop my style and guided me to acquire a critical spirit when it comes to illustrating, and from which I continue to learn every day.
Did you always think art was going to be a major part of your life?
I imagined myself illustrating for animations or being a designer, which was what I studied at university. In my 8 years, I already illustrated my own newspapers and magazines to share with my friends!
What is your favourite subject matter to illustrate?
I really enjoy illustrating the beauty I find in the diversity of bodies, costumes, fashion and nature. I am also attracted to illustrate for social causes that generate an impact.
How would you describe your style?
My style links the morphology of botany with the human figure and a surreal environment. The esoteric and magic I incorporate from the compositions.
I like to be connected with the latest trends to be able to illustrate unique and pregnancing universes.
What is your favourite collaboration to date?
The collaborations referring to human rights, the environment and gender. I feel that they currently generate a very important social impact since they provide information and call for collective awareness, to question our role in society and seek concrete solutions for these issues.
What interested you about being represented by Illo Agency?
Illo has a very genuine look at diversity in the world of illustration. They give great importance to the cultural field and work with quality content. From the first moment, I felt this commitment and professionism.
Do you have a favourite author, film director, or designer?
My greatest influences come from the avant-gardes of art; Surrealism and Expressionism.
Authors: Jorge Luis Borges, Roberto Arlt, Franz Kafka, Judith Butler, Alejandra Pizarnik.
Film Director: Wes Anderson, Pedro Almodvar
Designers: Coco Chanel, Paula Scher, Stefan Sagmmeister, Milton Glasser.
Are you working on any personal projects you can share with us?
I am currently working on a book about women and sexuality that talks about the importance of knowledge in female cycles. Also on a disc for a jazz band from Amsterdam. Simultaneously, I'm in the realisation of an illustrated collective publication about the Argentine poet; Alfonsina Storni
