Juan studied history before fate brought him to the art school Estación Diseño, where he became an illustration teacher. He taught illustration and comic until he decided to dedicate himself to a full time freelance illustrator career. Nowadays, he finds it hard to distinguish who learned from whom -his students from him or he from them! Since then, he has illustrated for different newspapers, magazines, fanzines as well as children's books and awareness campaigns. Juan has also participated in advertising a number of music bands as well as shoe brands in the past.
