Ana Salopek is an illustrator from Ogulin, Croatia. She is in love with visual storytelling, animated movies and writing her own stories. Her works have been featured in many exhibitions at home and abroad. As well as signing her work by her real name, Ana Salopek, she also goes by the pseudonym Gospođica Ura (Miss Clock), as she is fascinated by time, believing that it does not exist. Loudly drawing and silently writing, she is self-declared ‘Ambassador of the Trees,’ using her voice to spread the importance of having a deep relationship with nature. Her illustrations cover a wide range of topics – ecology, human values, and emotional expressions of the world around us; she takes word play literally and represents it by moving the boundaries of reality, letting her inner child express herself and help the adult in her to get a better grasp of the world, hoping to, in turn, make it a better and more amusing place.
