Damien Jones was born in Launceston, Cornwall, where he is still based today. He is an artist with over 10 years of experience in illustration and animation. He graduated from the Art Institute at Bournemouth with a degree in animation production in 2008. His first job was in Edinburgh, as an assistant animator on Sylvain Chomet’s Oscar-nominated film ‘The Illusionist’. Damien has been working as a freelance artist for many years, in film, television, and publishing, as well as individual illustrative-based projects. With a passion for drawing, Damien found himself getting work as an illustrator, and working with most major publishers, including taking over for Graham Howells on the popular Dragon Masters series with Scholastic. His work has enabled him to work with well know companies such as Aardman Ltd, Honeywell Aerospace, Scholastic, Lupus Films Ltd., and more.
